Master Prazer began his martial arts training in 1991 and started assisting with classes as a 14-year-old Yellow Belt in Pensacola, FL. He would assist with classes every day and take his own class at the end of each evening. Within a year, he was teaching classes as a Blue Belt.
Master Prazer grew up facing many challenges. He experienced poverty, abuse, and neglect during his childhood. Being small in size, he was often bullied, which impacted his self-esteem and confidence. Martial Arts, however, brought about a significant transformation, helping him build confidence—a quality that’s evident to anyone who meets him today. As he teaches his students, “Size doesn’t matter when you know what you are doing.”
He believes his greatest success, made possible by this newfound confidence, was asking his future wife out to dinner. This memorable moment happened after a full day of judging a tournament in 2003. Later that year, he publicly proposed to her at a National Tournament.
Today, Master Prazer is a dedicated family man with an incredible wife, Mrs. Gena Prazer, a 5th Degree Black Belt and the studio's Owner and Chief Instructor. Together, they have two amazing children, a son and a daughter.
Mrs. Prazer began her martial arts journey at 14 years old in Savannah, GA. Early in her training, she started working for her instructor, a role that helped her develop into the amazing instructor she is today. Mrs. Prazer is known for her expertise and ability to motivate and challenge her students. Adults value her knowledge and appreciate how she pushes them to exceed their limits, while parents are consistently impressed with her unique talent for inspiring each child to improve—not only in martial arts but also in behavior at home and school. Mrs. Prazer strikes the perfect balance between being fun and structured in her teaching style, which makes her classes both enjoyable and effective.
As a disciplined, respectful, confident, loyal, and inspiring person, Mrs. Prazer is a remarkable instructor, businesswoman, wife, and mother to two amazing children—a son and a daughter. You and your children will feel honored to be taught by such an outstanding instructor!
